For $829 the 15.6in Toshiba Satellite P750/02T is a very good bargain due to it having specs that would put some high-end alternatives to shame. These include a powerful dedicated graphics card, a larger than average 750GB hard disk drive and last but not least a TV tuner that makes it possible to watch or record live TV onto the P750. In every other respect it’s on par with its peers, so its great value for money.

What keeps the P750 running is a 2nd Gen Intel Core i5-2410M (2.3GHz) processor that can handle productivity applications and demanding programs with ease. It can even speed up to 2.9GHz using Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology, which is handy for particularly intensive tasks. The 4GB of RAM helps multi-tasking performance, allowing several programs to be smoothly run at once.

For gaming the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M dedicated graphics card definitely pulls its weight. Newer games like Portal 2 will run fine at medium to high settings on the 15.6in (1,366x768 resolution) screen, a respectable performance for any allrounder.
