About the HP Pavilion dv6-3032TX - (Price $1,399.00)
With only a first generation Intel Core i7, this notebook can't compete with newer allrounders.
The 15.6in HP Pavilion dv6-3032tx is moderate value for money at $1,399. While it was once one of the better options available, for less money you can get a new model allrounder with a Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7 processor and better specs in other areas.
The HP has a fast Intel Core i7-720QM (1.6GHz) processor that blitzes through resource intensive tasks and won't break a sweat running several programs at once. An ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card can play modern games like StarCraft 2 at high settings, so when you're not working or watching movies there's some solid gaming to be had. It has an unusually large 6GB of RAM, and you'll appreciate the extra boost in performance when playing games.
A 640GB hard drive is about normal given the price. The 15.6in screen comes with 1,366x768 resolution. It weighs 2.49kg, and measures 378mm wide, 245mm deep, and 36mm thick.
This is an average, notebook, with not a great deal to recommend it but on show-stopper downsides either.
