Odin's ghost! Thor's Mjolnir is quite possibly the coolest USB stick ever

Here at APC we see lots of USB press kits chock full of info and images of the latest tech and gadget releases. But this one takes the cake.

What we really love about this mighty little Thor hammer USB key is the weight of the thing. Once you remove the hammerhead from the data stick it's remarkably heavy and dense-feeling. We haven't actually weighed the thing, but believe us when we say it's hefty. (We're also not sure if it can actually propel you through the air via its own momentum, as that's generally beyond the scope of standard APC testing.)

The Mjolnir USB is being distributed at the moment as a promotional tool for the Thor movie DVD & Blu-ray releases (scheduled for early October), so it's probably not available to buy, sorry folks. This writer hasn't seen the flick but a fellow APC colleague described it as "not excellent but not completely atrocious either." Mixed praise perhaps, but it sounds about right.

The one disappointment of this mighty Marvel monument? It's only 1GB. We kid you not, true believers: Thor's hammer, as imposing and powerful as it might seem on the outside, is kinda scrawny and Loki-like as far as data capacity goes.

We really had Mjolnir pegged for 4GB. Live and learn.

In any case, Huawei's little green Android USB (2GB, in case you were wondering) has been relegated to #2 on our desktop. Sorry, little guy.

"can actually propel you threw the air"

A bit of proof reading would help!
