Palm has updated its desktop software to allow PalmOS smartphones and PDAs to sync with Outlook 2007.
Another day, another compatibility bug smacked away. Of course, we'd have preferred for all this to be done before products like Office2007 and Windows Vista hit the shelves -- it's not as if Microsoft didn't send out millions of betas for two years prior to their touchdown.
But for what it's worth, those who were first to step up to Office 2007 only to find that it wouldn't talk to their PalmOS pocket rocket can now rejoin the ranks of the uber-organised.
Palm has just posted its Outlook 2007 Update for Palm OS Devices and it does pretty much what it says on the can.
In essence, the update fixes the ‘conduits' on your Windows (XP or Vista) system which allow the Palm to sync against Outlook's Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes modules.
That just leaves Blackberry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and others in Vista-incompatibility land ...
