Pics of leaked Lenovo x200e notebook clad in white hit the net

The Lenovo x200e looks like something the Empire would have issued to Storm Troopers to use for filing reports with its white and black design.

A rumored Lenovo notebook called the ThinkPad x200e has been spied in the wild a few times and today a new round of supposed photos of the mythical beast have been spied online. We can be honest amongst friends and say that Lenovo has never been one to make what most of us would call sexy computers.

The best looking design I have seen from Lenovo since… well forever is the recent B500 all-in-one. This new x200e, assuming it's not a Photoshop forgery, isn’t what I would call attractive. It still has that red track nubbin in the middle of the keyboard along with an angular looking design and a blue enter key that reminds me of the days when Big Blue owned the keys to the ThinkPad brand.

If Lenovo wanted to go sexy, they should have been more creative than making a white notebook. Then again, we all know that white on computer evokes that Apple portion of the geek brain making us reach for our wallets, purses, or man bags. There are no specs being rumored at this time, perhaps the rig will stand out in a way other than the deviation from the normal black hue of the average ThinkPad.

Hmm :) I kinda like the layout if only they'd get rid of that big "Thinkpad" logo on the bottom right.

Lenovo shouldn't be allowed to use the Thinkpad trademark for the junk they are peddling.

I heartily agree with you there Sir "porks" but as I have absolutely no intention of buying one of these "beasties",they can do whatever they want with it :)

I don't agree they are junk, however I do agree they are overpriced.

I agree. Their quality has not dropped significantly since the IBM buy-out and their aftersales support is second to none. They carry a price tag that includes name branding, such as the likes of Dell & HP. If you want better value for money go for Acer, MSI, BenQ or the like.

I agree with you there on your first remarks. I bought a Lenovo earlier this year: it was expensive (although after the discount at the time, the extended warranty worked out to be -$6 or something like that), but their support is awesome (Australian call centres anyone?). Still, it was $1000 cheaper than the nearest comparable Mac, who are the worst when it comes to brand name pricing if you ask me.

But I wouldn't recommend an Acer to someone unless I really hated them and wanted them to have Hell on Earth, as is the case with many Acers. MSIs are excellent from what I've seen, and BenQ's I've not had much expierence with.
