			<description><![CDATA[Ive been running it non-stop since the day it was released(64Bit),on a second machine and find it fairly good but with a few fairly large problems.The biggest of these is my cable modem keeps connecting and disconnecting all the time-no amount of fiddling has resolved this.The other is anti-virus and firewall programs-thus preventing me from running it as my main os.My test rig has been up for over 14 days without a reboot,and is performing well considering some of the drivers are betas.I for one will be purchasing this os as soon as it comes out(as long as it works with my cable modem).
EDIT:My modem is now working normally.]]></description>

I also agree completely  with what you said,i was one of the people who paid over $700 for vista ultimate and a month later all my mates had free pirated versions of the same thing.Its very frustrating when i try and do the right thing and it costs me a fortune,only to have people laughing at me for paying for the software.This puts me in 2 minds about win 7,should i buy it or get it for free??.I am no thief,but most of the guys that have "stolen"vista that i know wouldn't steal a newspaper,but don't give it a second thought when it comes to software. ]]></description>

I like to future proof my rig as much as possible,so I went for a 1200Watt Unit.My friend runs an quad core(At like 4ghz),very fast ram(gets so hot you can see the heat haze coming off them),and a gtx295(also screwed to within  an inch of its life),and he is using 2 1500watt units(1 for graphics card alone),cooler master is the brand all my friends use.If you are going to use a mid range card such as a 4850 any of those should be ok.600watt is the minimum-don't go under that and you will be fine.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[Thats a hard one to answer jtech,it depends on lots of things.My mates all use quad cores and they laugh at me for using a core 2 duo E8600.My machine runs great, with a average score of 49 on the pc users  Userbench Encode 09.The Dual core E8400 is the sweet spot price wise and can be overclocked well past its rated 3.0ghz.Call me crazy but i like to have all my hardware paired up-2 cores,2 ram sticks,2 raptors,and a 2 core graphics card(295GTX).Have a look on u-tube and you will see that is very much leaning towards quad cores-people love them for some reason.Ive never overclocked a quad before so i cant help you there,but either way you should be fine.If it was me,i would go for the I7.  ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[My wife said to me the other day,whats that brown mark behind the computer?.Upon further investigation,it was a scorch mark where the outlet for the gigabyte GTX280 had been actually starting to BURN the wall behind it.Upon checking the heat output of this card by playing crysis on high settings for about 15 minutes,the heat that was coming out of that vent was TREMENDOUS. Just thought id share this with everybody how potentially dangerous this could be if,like me you have your rig close to a wall.I resolved this by putting a old spare tile against the wall.]]></description>

This is a case of that a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing.The E8400 is fully 64 bit ready,and i am using one to write this now with windows ultimate 64 bit.However,brindyman is right about the ncq,id go for the samsung 500gb as ive been using them for over 20 years and have never had one fail.Ive never used that graphics card so i cant help there,but it sounds ok.Good luck with the build and let us know how it all went.You could also get away with only 2 gb ram,(2 1gb sticks),in dual channel mode as this is all it would need for uni stuff,and would save you a couple of bucks.]]></description>

Its a long shot,but it could be you internet "waking" up your rig.Check all WOL-wake on lan  settings are off in the bios-had a similar problem years ago with that.Also changing motherboards over without reformatting is fraught with danger,there might be some of you old motherboard drivers conflicting with your new ones.better to be safe than sorry-backup and reformat. ]]></description>
