Want to keep up with what's happening on APCMag.com?

Rather than coming to the APC site to check what's been updated, our news can come to you, thanks to the many RSS feeds available on the site. Just look for the "RSS" links anywhere on a page, or for the RSS icon that may appear in your browser's address bar.

There are RSS feeds that capture all news, or all reviews, or all of our how-to articles:

There are also many specialised feeds that focus in on particular topics, so you can receive content that's of most interest to you.

For example, on a user profile page, you can subscribe to the particular user's comments if you're interested in following what that member has to say.

If you are participating in a forum thread (discussion), you can subscribe to the RSS feed for that thread.

If you're interested in stories about a certain brand of tech product, or a tag, you'll find specific RSS feeds on those pages.

How to use RSS feeds

You'll need an RSS feed reader -- either a web-based one (we highly recommend Google Reader -- no matter what computer you access your RSS feeds on, you'll never read the same article twice), or software for Windows, Linux or Mac. RSS feed readers are much like email clients, except that the messages that appear are not email, but news-stories from the sites you've subscribed to.

Some web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 7, Safari or Firefox with an RSS plugin can automatically download and display RSS feeds right in the browser window.

If your web browser is not capable of viewing RSS feeds directly (such as Internet Explorer 6 and older, Firefox 1.5 and older, and Safari 1.0 and older), clicking on these links may result in a raw XML text file being displayed in your browser. If you don't want to upgrade your web browser, using a web-based RSS reader like Google Reader is your best bet.
