Samsung netbook gets Chrome OS and might run Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Samsung has a number of netbooks and notebooks that is sells. My favorite is the matte screen N220 netbook unveiled in December 2009. Samsung is getting ready to unveil a new netbook later this year that runs the Google Chrome OS.

Above: Chrome netbook is said to look like this N210

The computer maker isn’t offering full specifications on the device. What we do know is that it will run Chrome, have integrated 3G, WiFi, and a battery good for 12 hours of run time. You can count on that battery life estimate being inflated.

The Chrome netbook is said to be very similar to the Samsung N210 with a 10.1-inch LED backlit screen. That would make since given the 10.1-inch range is the sweet spot for netbooks today. Expect 2GB of RAM and storage of at least 64GB. I would be surprised if the machine had less than 160GB of storage. What platform the machine will run is unknown, the Atom platform would be expected, but some speculate the machine might run a Qualcomm Snapdragon at 1.5GHz.
