Managing the server

Server
vendors of ten provide additional software that allows you to access
data that is returned by SNMP agents. HP’s System Management Homepage
is one such web-application. This image shows the status of the SAS
controller within our server.

The
IPMI interface on most servers usually feature a web server instance to
monitor and maintain the server. This image shows the virtual power
button features – if your server has locked up, it’s simple to force a
restart – even from a remote location.

Ilo2 – The IPMI web interface can also display SNMP data. This image
shows a plot of power consumption versus time for the last 24 hours.
