Last we heard from Shuttle the company was offering up some nettops with the VIA Nano processor as an alternate to the class leading Intel Atom. Shuttle today has announced another alternative to mainstream computers with a new all-in-one sporting factory installed Linux.
The machine is called the X500V and comes with the latest version of openSUSE Linux already installed and ready to run. The all-in-one machine has a 15.6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768. The brain of the machine is an Intel Atom 330 dual-core CPU and Shuttle offers 1GB of DDR2 RAM inside.
Other features for the machine include a 160GB HDD 1.3-megapixel webcam memory card reader mic and stereo speakers. Shuttle made the all-in-one a scant little rig with a thickness of 3.6 cm that’s hardly fatter than most notebooks. The machine is available to purchase right now (though only in Europe so far it seems) from Shuttle for EUR 444 ($AUD749).
