Sony VAIO E notebooks will never blend in with the crowd

Sony makes some cool notebooks like the carbon fiber VAIO Z that are attractive, but the firm isn’t one that jumps to mind when you think of style. Sony is going to change some preconceived notions of style with its line of VAIO E notebooks clad in colors that would make American pop stars from the 80's puke. Sony says that the new E series refuses to blend in and the eye watering color options guarantee that.



The machines can be had in bright green, pink, blue, and more mundane black colors. The user can get the machines with keyboards that are in a contrasting color. A mouse with contrasting colors can even be ordered alongside the notebook. Bright colors aside, the machine packs in some nice tech under the hood.

The E series can be had with Intel Core i3 or i5 processors with Intel Turbo Boost Technology. Sony promises the battery in the machine is good for up to 3.5 hours of continuous use. Graphics are from the ATI Mobility Radeon line with up to 512MB of VRAM. Storage is up to 500GB and the machine can be fitted with up to 8GB of RAM. Other features include WiFi, A2DP Bluetooth technology and more. The E series uses a 15.5-inch LCD with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and the machines start at $903 ($US799).
