Telstra is first past the post, with its Next G Bold 9700 on sale from tomorrow, while Vodafone circles December 2nd and unveils new ‘unlimited’ $99 plans.
Telstra and Vodafone have joined
Optus in this month’s BlackBerry Bold 9700 launchfest.
RIM’s latest smartphone will go on sale tomorrow online and at Telstra Shops and dealers, stamped with the Telstra brand and preloaded with links to Telstra services (of course).
Plans will include an $85/month
Mobile PLUS plan with $85 of calls and SMS per month plus 600MB of data, along which separate business and enterprise plans for existing corporate customers.
Vodafone’s Bold 9700 kick-off comes a week later on December 2nd, but the deals are a lot sweeter.
In addition to the familiar $79/month plan – which gives you $550 of talk and text, unlimited BlackBerry email and Web plus a 50MB allowance for tethered Internet – the new $99 Unlimited Cap plans provide unlimited calls and texts across Australia and your choice of unlimited Blackberry email and Web or 1.5GB of total data including using the Bold 9700 as a tethered modem.
