Photo/video apps

If you find the iPhone’s camera a little lacking in options, Camera+ (99c) adds a bunch of extra features like an image stabiliser, timer and burst modes, and built-in scene modes, special effects, cropping and border options that you can apply after you take the shot. Constantly posting pictures of your cat, what you had for breakfast, and your sand-speckled toes at the beach? Instagram (free) will be right up your alley for adding loads of cool filters and effects to your photos before uploading them to various social networking and blogging sites. For something a little different, Diptic (99c) makes it easy to create collages out of your photos and apply image adjustments and custom borders, while Big Lens (99c) gives your iPhone photos the depth-of-field effect that you can usually only get with a digital SLR. On the video side, 8mm Vintage Camera ($1.99) adds a retro feel to your footage, letting you pick from different vintage lenses, films, sound effects and post-processing options.
