VIDEO: Watch Telstra's T-Box in action

VIDEO | Telstra's T-Box seems more akin to something Apple would have produced -- it's really quite impressive.

In this video Telstra’s Julie Ceresa demonstrates the user interface of the telco’s new T-Box integrated personal video recorder, TV tuner and IPTV platform, at Telstra’s Sydney headquarters at 400 George St.

We were quite struck by the ease of use and ‘flow’ demonstrated by the T-Box’s user interface — it seemed more akin to something designed by Apple, or Microsoft’s Xbox 360, than something Telstra would produce.

Looks pretty good... Although the remote and casing look cheap and nasty (at least in the video).

Dropped into my other job on the way home from work today and found that we've got 2 of these T-Box units sitting there ready for an install down the road at the T-Life shop (co-incidentally arrived today).

All I can say is that it is actually as plastic and cheap looking as the video shows. There is a slight brushed aluminium look to the very outer edging, but that's the only element of quality about it. The back panel looks like cheap Chinese rubbish. The bottom looks very flimsy, etc.
I'm hoping they release a better looking, better built version 2 once they get this release out of the way.

I physically picked it up and looked at it. I was commenting on the build quality of the casing, which is a good generally indication of the overall build quality of a product.

Additionally:
1) this article is months old - why post now?
2) please learn to use punctuation.
3) don't be such a knob yourself.
